Orchard Park, N.Y. — Buffalo Bills cornerback Dane Jackson was injured and left Monday night’s game against the Tennessee Titans in the second quarter following a hit to the neck area by teammate Tremaine Edmunds.

Jackson, who was down for about five minutes before he was placed on a stretcher, left the field in an ambulance to cheers from fans in attendance at Highmark Stadium. Jackson was taken to ECMC for further evaluation following what the team said was a neck injury. He’ll get a CT scan and an X-ray, but the team added that he has full movement in his extremities.

Jackson was attempting a tackle on Treylon Burks when Edmunds came flying into the play to try and assist on the play. Edmunds left his feet to put a hit on Burks but the Titans receiver had fallen to the ground, leaving Jackson wide open to take the brunt of the hit.

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) put Jackson on the stretcher and into the ambulance. Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who played with Jackson at Pittsburgh, seemed to be having a hard time in the moment. Buffalo linebacker Tyrel Dodson appeared to be consoling Hamlin as Jackson was driven off the field.

The Bills lead the Titans, 17-7, early in the third quarter. Check back for further updates as this story develops.
