Grandparents Day is a day to celebrate the important bond between grandparents and grandchildren. On Saturday, Sept. 10, Braemar Nursing Home celebrated Grandparents Day with an outdoor ice cream social. Several grandchildren and even some great-grandchildren came out for an afternoon of fun in the sun. Relatives and Residents enjoyed an ice cream treat of their choice from the Neighbourhood Ice Lolly Trolley, operated by Kaleigh McCallum. A big thank you to an anonymous donor who paid for the ice cream by the way of #putakinddeedinyourfeed in memory of Heidi Schlumpf.
